U4GM Explains When to Farm Legion in POE 3.29 (4 อ่าน)

The best POE 3.29 Atlas tree is the one you're ready to run, not the one posting the flashiest loot screenshot. You'll earn more POE currency by finishing clean maps quickly than by forcing a premium Legion setup that your build clears slowly. My route starts with map sustain, moves into red Searing Exarch altars, secures Voidstones, and only commits to Legion after the build passes a real combat test. That progression-first mindset saves Atlas respec points, protects your map pool, and keeps the grind moving.

Build the Atlas Before Building the Farm

Early Atlas points should push map progression rather than scatter investment across unrelated mechanics. Take Shaping the Mountains, Shaping the Skies, and the route toward Shaping the World, then grab nearby shrine support. Higher-tier map drops keep your Atlas moving, while shrines act like temporary gear upgrades for builds entering red maps with shaky DPS or defenses. Keep bonus-objective rules straight: white nodes need magic maps, yellow nodes need rare maps, and red nodes need rare corrupted maps. A higher-tier map can complete a lower node, but it doesn't change that node's rarity condition.

Do take map sustain and shrine nodes before specialized loot clusters.

Do check the bonus condition before opening an unfinished map.

Don't spend heavily on Legion Scarabs while high-tier maps remain scarce.

Don't split points among Legion, Harvest, Betrayal, Breach, and Strongboxes.

When Are Red Altars Actually Worth It?

Tier Fourteen is the first major target because completing the relevant quest encounters opens consistent red altar mapping. Searing Exarch altars fit progression well: their rewards appear inside the normal map loop instead of pulling you into a separate activity. Wrath of the Cosmos is tempting, but it punishes automatic clicking. Read every downside, favor manageable minion options, and skip player penalties that attack your build's weak spot. From what I've seen, many apparent Atlas problems are really altar-selection problems-a character that feels comfortable before several reckless clicks can suddenly fold to ordinary packs.

The Three-Stage POE 3.29 Plan

Your Atlas should change as the character changes. The first Voidstone generally fits best from the Searing Exarch because it supports the altar plan already producing income. Eater of Worlds is a sensible next target, with Shaper, Elder, and Maven handled according to bossing strength. Don't force a pinnacle fight merely because a guide lists an order. Use this table as a readiness check, not an inflexible script.

Okay, Prove Your Build Is Legion-Ready

Run several open high-tier maps with basic Legion investment before buying the premium loadout. Your build passes if it reaches distant imprisoned targets, releases most valuable groups, kills the armies without repeated deaths, and finishes the map at its normal pace. Dunes is my preferred layout; Jungle Valley is a solid fallback. Chain and fork projectiles excel during the release timer, while explosion-based builds often feel better after armies activate. Open ground also helps Treasures Scarab effects reach nearby monsters instead of losing value behind walls and corners.

The Farming Setup Most Guides Explain Poorly

The premium setup uses one standard Legion Scarab, three Treasures Scarabs, and one Eternal Conflict Scarab. Its value comes from reward propagation and repeated releases, not simply adding another Legion spawn. More releases also mean tougher enemies and longer encounters, so test the full package before preparing a large map batch. Track Scarab cost, map time, deaths, and valuable drops across several runs; don't judge the strategy from one lucky explosion of loot. Keep eight-mod or Delirious maps only when their modifiers don't wreck your clear speed. A disciplined POE 3.29 mapper may collect fewer dramatic drops per map, yet build a steadier reserve of POE exalted orbs because the loadout stays fast, repeatable, and financially sensible.
