I have a 2015 Ferrari California T with the dual clutch gearbox, and I use it mostly on weekends and for dinner trips. For about three weeks now it jerks when I creep in slow traffic. It feels like the car cannot decide between first and second gear. Sometimes it also gives a small bump when I pull away from a red light. On the open road it feels perfect, which is why I kept telling myself it was nothing. My wife says it feels different from before, and she is right. My friend has an older 458 and he said it could be a clutch that is getting tired from stop and go driving. My cousin thinks it is only software and says I should wait. I did not want to guess, so one night I read about it online. I opened a page about Ferrari cars on a Sharjah website to learn how the two clutches, the oil and the control unit work together. It said a jerk at low speed can come from clutch wear or old oil, and that a scan is the best first step before anyone opens the gearbox. That made me feel calmer. Then a coworker told me to look for a Certified Ferrari DCT gearbox repair in Sharjah and to ask the garage to show me the clutch readings on paper. He said a good place will explain the problem in simple words and will not rush me into a big repair. I liked that advice because these cars are not cheap to fix. So I have some questions. Is a jerk only in slow traffic usually the clutch, or can it be a small software problem? Is it safe to keep driving on weekends until I book a check? Should I ask for the clutch wear numbers before I agree to any work? And about how long does a first check take, and what is a fair price?
