<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">People searching for the USA Mega Millions lottery want to understand how the game works, when drawings happen, and where results are posted. A play includes five white-ball numbers and one separate Mega Ball number. Drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday evenings, with results published after each drawing. Players should check the date printed on their ticket before comparing numbers, as results from another draw may cause confusion. If a ticket appears to match a prize, verify it through the relevant state lottery and read the claim instructions. Ticket availability, sales cut-off times, and deadlines can differ by location.
