Ichimonji Corsair Sword in Path of Exile U4GM Guide (4 อ่าน)

Choosing the right weapon in Path of Exile is rarely just about finding the item with the biggest damage number. A weapon can become valuable because of attack speed, accuracy, resource management, or interactions with other mechanics. The Ichimonji Corsair Sword is a strong example of this design philosophy. Before investing Path of exile currency into a build centered around this unique weapon, players should understand what makes it different from conventional rare swords.

Ichimonji is a level 58 unique Corsair Sword that requires 81 Strength and 117 Dexterity. Its 40% increased Global Accuracy Rating gives attack builds a useful boost to hit consistency. Accuracy becomes increasingly relevant when a character's passive tree and other equipment do not already provide enough of it.

The weapon's physical damage modifiers make it suitable for several attack-focused setups. It provides 80–95% increased Physical Damage and adds 5–10 to 13–20 Physical Damage. These stats establish a reasonable damage baseline while leaving room for the rest of the character's equipment to handle defenses, critical scaling, elemental effects, or other offensive requirements.

Attack speed is another important part of Ichimonji's identity. Its 20–25% increased Attack Speed can make attacks feel noticeably faster. For skills that rely on repeated attacks, faster execution can improve both clear speed and general combat responsiveness. Attack speed can also complement mechanics that reward frequent hits.

The most distinctive feature, however, is its 10% increased Effect of Buffs on You. Rather than simply adding another generic offensive statistic, Ichimonji encourages a character to think about how its buffs function. Players who use several self-applied buffs may find that this modifier gives the weapon value that is difficult to measure through weapon DPS alone.

Mana management is another area where the sword provides useful flexibility. Ichimonji grants 10% increased Mana Reservation Efficiency of Skills. This can help characters fit additional reservation-based skills into their setup. For builds operating close to their mana limits, even a modest improvement in reservation efficiency can affect which combination of skills and auras is practical.

The weapon's biggest weakness is its interaction with auras. Allied Aura Buffs do not affect the wearer, and the wearer's Aura Buffs do not affect allies. This means Ichimonji is not naturally designed around traditional cooperative aura support. A solo character may barely notice the restriction, but a party character built around shared aura benefits needs to evaluate the trade-off carefully.

This limitation also shapes the types of builds that make the most sense. Self-sufficient attack characters are natural candidates because they can take advantage of their own buffs without depending on other players. Such characters can use Ichimonji as part of a broader setup focused on personal damage, attack speed, and efficient reservation.

Another advantage is accessibility. Players do not necessarily need a highly optimized rare sword immediately after reaching the appropriate level. Ichimonji can serve as a practical intermediate weapon while they collect better equipment or save resources for a specialized endgame upgrade. This can make it useful during the transition from early mapping into more demanding content.

Still, players should compare the sword against their actual build requirements. If a rare weapon provides substantially better damage or critical scaling, replacing Ichimonji may eventually be worthwhile. The correct decision depends on whether its unique utility contributes meaningfully to the character.

For players who enjoy fast physical attacks, personal buffs, and efficient resource management, Ichimonji remains an interesting weapon to experiment with. Once you understand its trade-offs, you can use POE trade currency more efficiently and build the rest of your equipment around the sword's strengths rather than trying to force it into a setup where its unique mechanics do not fit.
