I am writing to seek advice regarding an issue with my account at National Bank of Abu Dhabi. Two days ago I noticed a deduction on my account when I performed a balance inquiry through online banking. The amount is significant and I do not recognize the transaction reference or beneficiary details.

I immediately contacted the bank’s customer service in the UAE and they informed me that the transaction appears as a completed outgoing transfer from my account. I clearly did not authorize any such transfer, and I have not shared my banking credentials or OTP with anyone. I have already requested them to freeze my account and open a dispute case, but they said the investigation may take several working days.

Since this involves a possible unauthorized transaction and I am currently staying in Thailand, I am unsure about the correct steps I should take from here. Should I file a local police report in addition to the complaint already registered with the bank in the UAE? The bank mentioned that having an official police report could support the investigation process.

I would appreciate guidance on whether I should formally report this matter at the station and what documents I need to bring. I have copies of my bank statements, transaction details, and email communication with the bank.
